City government role so the pace is slower than private sector but the impact is huge. Talked about transportation projects and zoning reforms I would work on. Team genuinely cares about making the city better for residents. Salary is public sector so not amazing but pension and benefits are solid. Work life balance is real which is rare.

After being laid off 3 times in 5 years, applying to hundreds of jobs, sitting through countless interviews, and receiving one generic rejection email after another, I got tired of it. Tired of the canned responses. Tired of companies treating real people like numbers in their ATS.

I wanted to express my frustrations, but other platforms felt too corporate and polished. They lacked the raw emotion.
